MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Southwest Alabama power outages have dropped significantly as restoration efforts following severe weather continue.

About 10,700 customers remain without power across southwest Alabama, down from roughly 24,000 reported the previous day, an Alabama Power spokesperson said Friday morning.
