FOLEY, Ala. (WALA) – A former funeral director in Baldwin County is facing criminal charges after investigators say he took money from grieving families for headstones and markers that were never delivered.
Tim Street, who was serving as funeral director at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley, was charged with first-degree financial exploitation of the elderly, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
The case began in March 2026 when a Baldwin County resident filed a complaint with the BCSO after months of delays and excuses from Street over a purchased headstone for a recently deceased family member, officials said. The complainant also filed a report with the State of Alabama Funeral Home Board.
As investigators reviewed the complaint, they identified multiple victims who had experienced the same issues of purchasing headstones and markers through Street, only to wait months or even years without receiving them…
