Former office manager in Baldwin County admits stealing more than $895K from employer, Social Security

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – A former office manager in Baldwin County has pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing more than $895,000 from the Social Security Administration and a Baldwin County soil‑testing business where he worked.

Court records show Gregory Anderson, also known as Gregory Leffler, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Mobile to theft of government money, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.

Prosecutors say Anderson received about $61,609 in Social Security Disability Insurance benefits he was not entitled to between 2018 and 2023.
