MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile inmate is accused of stabbing a corrections officer 15 times during meal distributions in May.
Man assaulted in Mobile, investigation ongoing
A preliminary hearing was held on Tuesday, June 23, for 32-year-old Jeremiah Josea Jackson, who is charged with attempted murder.
Testimony revealed that while the officer was distributing meals, Jackson allegedly pushed his way out of the cell armed with two shanks made out of metal support rails in the jail.
The officer said he used his taser, but it had no effect on Jackson, and that Jackson pulled the prongs out of himself. Pepper spray was also used, but allegedly did not affect Jackson…
