MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A U.S. Supreme Court ruling gave Joshua Tarvarius James the chance to one day walk free.
But on Tuesday, a year and a half after hearing testimony and arguments, Mobile County Presiding Circuit Judge Wesley Pipes imposed the same sentence James originally received after his capital murder conviction in 2011 – life in prison without the possibility of parole.
