4th of July festivities along the Gulf Coast

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Are you ready to celebrate Independence Day? Plan your festivities around these 4th of July events throughout the Gulf Coast.

Mobile

Dinner Cruise: Perdido Queen Riverboat celebrates America’s 250th birthday with 4th of July cruises.

Dauphin Island

Fireworks: The Town of Dauphin Island hosts a free annual 4th of July fireworks show beginning at sunset at Middle Beach near the elementary school.

Saraland

Fireworks: Saraland High School will host an early Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 2, at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. More information can be found here.

Prichard

Fireworks: Guests can attend the City of Prichard’s 4th of July fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. on Wilson Avenue in Downtown Prichard. This free event features food trucks, live music, local vendors, and family fun activities. More event information can be found here.

Events: Vendors, organizations, and community groups will participate in Prichard’s Red, White, and Boom 4th of July Celebration from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to showcase their businesses and products. Applications can be found here.

Grand Bay

Fireworks: A fireworks show will begin at dusk at the Grand Bay Watermelon Festival.

Watermelon Festival: Join Grand Bay’s 52nd annual Watermelon Festival on Friday, July 3, from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m and Saturday, July 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Odd Fellows Festival Park. Friday will feature arts and crafts vendors, food, rides, and entertainment. Parking is free on Friday. Saturday will feature a car show, contests, and all the watermelon you can eat. Admission is $5 per car on Saturday.

Creola

Fireworks: Free Life Church will host Freedom Fest 2026 on Wednesday, July 1, from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy waterslides, food, their Annual Chili Off, homemade ice cream, and a fireworks show. This event is free and open to the community.
