MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mobile man is facing multiple charges after police say he used a piece of metal rebar to smash windows at four businesses along the Dauphin Square Shopping Center and then struck an officer with the same rebar.
Ronald Dortch, 38, was arrested following the incident, which occurred just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Businesses left with shattered glass, boarded windows
According to Mobile police, Dortch used the rebar to break windows at four businesses along Dauphin Street. Officers say he then used that same rebar to hit an officer. The officer was not seriously hurt.
