MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The biggest weather story over the next several days will be the increasing potential for localized flooding.
Repeated rounds of slow-moving thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour, especially during the afternoon and evening. If storms repeatedly move over the same neighborhoods, streets and low-lying areas could flood quickly. Urban areas with poor drainage will be most vulnerable.
