Suspended license charge dropped against Prichard official; guilty plea entered on two other counts

PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) – A suspended license charge against Prichard’s Director of Civic and Cultural Affairs was dismissed Tuesday after he provided proof of a valid driver’s license, according to court documents.

T.J. Pettway was arrested July 14 on a 2020 warrant for driving with a suspended license. Court documents show his license was suspended at the time of that traffic stop.

Troopers also cited Pettway at the time of the stop for having an illegal light bar and an audible siren on his private vehicle.
