Judge throws out part of Mobile wrongful-death suit against police, agrees to open bodycam video

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal judge Tuesday dismissed part of a wrongful-death lawsuit against Mobile police officers who participated in a SWAT raid that resulted in a fatal shooting in 2023.

U.S. District Judge Terry Moorer based the ruling in large measure on police body camera footage – video that the public may soon be able to view.
