Judge holds no-show witness in contempt in Mobile capital murder case

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge on Thursday held a no-show witness in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena to testify at a capital murder trial in June.

Mobile County prosecutors have said that Jamia Zabri Campbell’s failure to testify was one factor leading charges to be dismissed against Julian Demond Woods, who was accused of gunning down two people in the parking lot of the Main Street Food Mart in Prichard on June 1, 2022.
