BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A birthday party in the Pine Grove community, meant to celebrate life, turned violent over the weekend, almost taking a life when gunfire erupted, sending one person to a trauma center with multiple gunshot wounds, including to his face.
“His condition is pretty bad,” said Baldwin County Sheriff’s Capt. Justin Correa. “His injuries were significant.”
An argument between the unidentified victim and the suspect, identified by multiple people at the party as 21-year-old Jaytwon Williams, ended with those shots being fired. Williams ran from the scene and remains at large, according to investigators. “There was three shots fired; all three came from our suspect, and all three shots hit our victim,” said Correa.
Williams has quite the reputation with law enforcement. According to authorities, he was involved in a spring break melee in Gulf Shores, arrested for robbery in Spanish Fort, has an active warrant on a domestic violence charge involving strangulation, and now is wanted for attempted murder and first-degree assault.
“This isn’t a person I want running around on the streets,” added Correa. “We are going to consider him armed and dangerous.”…
