Mobile man arrested after allegedly stabbing his wife

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Mobile man is in jail after he allegedly stabbed his wife last Friday.

According to the Mobile Police Department, a man stabbed his wife with a knife at the 500 block of Crenshaw Street.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

Officers responded to University Hospital around 6:30 p.m. on Friday regarding a domestic incident involving an assault. They learned a woman had been stabbed by her husband during a verbal altercation.

The subject fled the scene, and the woman was treated at University Hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.

“In terms of injury details, we typically refrain from providing specifics to respect the privacy and dignity of those involved,” a Mobile Police Department spokesperson said.

Jerome Edward Lynch, 64, was arrested Wednesday in connection to the domestic violence assault incident.

Lynch is charged with second-degree domestic violence assault. He will appear in court on Friday for a bond hearing.
