MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal judge on Monday sentenced a Robertsdale man to 17 months in prison for threatening to kill a federal law enforcement officer. David Clarence Shaw, 49, pleaded guilty in October to influencing a federal official by threat. He admitted that he made three phone calls in October 2022 to the FBI’s operations center in Mobile. During the third call, he threatened to hang black people, according to his written plea agreement.
