Chickasaw man arrested in shooting death of Stanley Koenig Sr.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Chickasaw man has been taken into custody in connection to the Loxley shooting that killed Stanley Koenig Sr., according to the Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit.

The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit arrested 23-year-old Jukyle Lamar Hunter after a chase in Mobile on Thursday. According to members, the unit was asked to assist with the Loxley shooting that led to the death of Koenig Sr.

Through the course of the investigation, members of the unit determined that Hunter had traveled to Loxley on Jan. 23 to deliver drugs. After arriving in Loxley, investigators say that Hunter was involved in an argument with several individuals before he shot at several of them. Hunter then allegedly left the scene.

This is an active investigation, and no one has been charged with the murder of Koenig Sr. at this time. Baldwin County Officials say the investigation is focused on determining who is culpable for Koenig’s death.
