LeFlore High School student accused of campus shooting pleads not guilty

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A LeFlore High School student charged with shooting two fellow students on campus pleaded not guilty Friday to assault and gun charges. The 16-year-old girl has been charged as an adult, but a 2021 state law protects her confidentiality because of her age. The girl pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree assault and one count each of discharging a firearm on school grounds and possession of a firearm on school grounds.
