Car chase on Battleship Parkway ends at gas station: police

UPDATE (4:49 p.m.): The Mobile Police Department confirmed the chase started in Spanish Fort after the Spanish Fort Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a suspect who was wanted by MPD.

MPD picked up the chase once the suspect crossed into their jurisdiction, but due to the reckless nature of the chase, MPD said they terminated the pursuit.

The suspect, who MPD did not name, is wanted in multiple states, including Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.

UPDATE: The Mobile Police Department, Saraland Police Department and Prichard Police Department were seen using a drone to near the gas station where the chase ended.

Sources said K-9s were released to find the suspect.

The alleged vehicle in the pursuit, a black Chevrolet Avalanche, was towed from the scene.
