PRICHARD, Ala. (WPMI) – A judge appointed a receiver to run Prichard Water Works & Sewer Board after it defaulted on a $55 million loan last year. Court records show the receiver is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on new contracts and water customers want to know where all that money is coming from and if they’ll eventually be on the hook for it.
