BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A long-standing farmer’s market in Baldwin County is closing for good.
Owner Greg Burris said the time has come to close the doors.
“It’s been a good ride, but it’s just time,” he said.
Burris said he is ready to relax.
“It’s a different world nowadays, and I am wanting to retire again,” Burris said.

After being up and running for almost four decades, Burris said his loyal customers will never be forgotten.
“We are proud of our business and our customers and customer base,” he said. “It’s gratifying to see them come in and buy our stuff but it’s just time; it’s time.”
And those customers were saddened by the news.
Joseph Jaye, a Loxley resident, said he hates to see it go.
“I used to go and get me a big juicy tomato from there,” Jaye said. “It is kind of sad; it was a big tourist attraction as well. It brought people here, and they would always stop in, so it will be sad to see them go.”
