MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — One woman is dead and another is injured after a crash in West Mobile Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to a crash at the intersection of Tanner Williams Road and Schillinger Road around 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Mobile Police Department. When they arrived, officers found two cars with “significant damage” and one of the drivers was trapped inside a car.

The release said officers found that the female driver of one of the cars was driving west and did not stop at a red light. That caused her to crash into the other car that was heading north. The female was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police have not released the woman’s name. This is an ongoing investigation.
