UPDATE: Mobile woman arrested after Friday morning shooting on South Ann Street

UPDATE (2:45 p.m.): The Mobile Police Department has arrested a woman in connection with a Friday morning shooting on South Ann Street.

Edwina Marie Davis, 35, of Mobile, was charged with first-degree assault and taken to Mobile Metro Jail, according to an MPD spokesperson.

The MPD said it responded to today’s shooting at approximately 10:23 a.m. on the 1200 block of South Ann Street.

The victim, who received a non-life-threatening injury after receiving a gunshot wound during an altercation, according to police, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

UPDATE (12:20 p.m.): The Mobile Police Department has confirmed that a woman was shot, with non-life-threatening injuries, and another woman was arrested after an argument outside a home just west of Alba Street and east of Grove Street.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

A witness says the woman who was arrested drove up to the home and began arguing with a man who was inside the house.
