The MLK Monday Mystics’ theme this year was “Lights, Camera, Action: Celebrating 20 years of Excellence” as the organization’s first-ever parade was in 2004, according to the Mobile Mask .
The Northside Merchants Association is a parade offering MLK-area businesses a chance to partake in the festivities, according to the Mobile Mask .
According to the Mobile Police Department, 110,881 attended the parade. Mobile police officers responded to 14 complaints during the event including two reports of lost children. A total of 13 parking citations were issued, and 12 vehicles were towed.
