Black History Spotlight: Michael Donald

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) – Michael Donald is our local Black History Spotlight. March 21, 1981 19-year old Michael Donald was walking home from a Mobile gas station when he was forced into a car at gunpoint. He was beaten and then hanged from a tree on Herndon Avenue across from the Bay Haas building. It was the last known lynching in the country.
