MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) – The Order of Athena had the honor of starting the party on Fat Tuesday. The all-female society rode on about ten colorful floats through the streets of downtown. The beads, MoonPies, and fun had families and Mardi Gras fans lining the barricades with baskets, signs, and ladders. Despite the 10:00am start time, there was no shortage of excitement from the crowd. Some people only stayed for a few parades.
