Local reaction to Alabama gaming bill now headed to Senate

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – State representatives passed a proposal to legalize gambling in Alabama, with an overwhelming 70 to 32 vote. It now goes to the Senate. If it passes, Alabamians will have the ultimate say in November at the ballot box – something they have not had the opportunity to do since 1999.
