BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — An Olympic gold medalist is coming to Baldwin County in September for a United Way of Baldwin County event.
According to a news release, 1996 Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Kerri Strug was announced as the speaker for the United Way of Baldwin County’s Campaign Kick-Off Luncheon.

The upcoming event is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Daphne Civic Center.
