MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – No one was home at a residence in the 2600 block of Collins Avenue overnight as a fire broke out, according to the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department. Firefighters were dispatched at 12:11 a.m. Wednesday, and the first engine company on scene reported heavy fire showing from a single-story home. The MFRD said crews knocked down the fire and made sure no one was inside.
