Mobile and Baldwin County Public Schools adding A/C to buses

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) – Students in our area start school next week, and many bus riders will now have the comfort of air conditioning in this blistering heat. Sam Ellis, transportation coordinator for Baldwin County Public Schools, says about a quarter of the buses will have air conditioning when school starts, and by the middle of the school year half the fleet will. They’re accomplishing that, he says, by getting 32 new buses with a/c already on them and retrofitting 110 buses that don’t have a/c, a process they started in March.
