MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) – The Alabama Port Authority is urging Mobile Baykeeper to drop a potential lawsuit it says puts the ship channel deepening and widening project at risk. The Port director told the environmental watchdog group in a letter Wednesday litigation threatens to bring the major economic project to a halt. Leaders of eight other organizations, including the Mobile Chamber and Business Council of Alabama, signed the letter.
