Pups for Paris: Apricot, Chipper and Ace

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Friday, Aug. 2, marked the conclusion of WKRG News 5’s first week of Pups for Paris!

While Team USA is in Paris trying to win gold medals, shelter dogs here at home are trying to win your heart of gold.

Pups for Paris: Poppy, Gloria, Rex

Apricot, Chipper and Ace from Saving with Soul Pet Rescue in Fort Walton Beach came to the News 5 studios on Friday.

Apricot is around 7 years old and seems to have had a rough life, but she’s now safe and looking forward to finding a family who will take care of her. Despite the pain she’s endured, she’s very sweet.

Chipper has also had a rough go at it. Someone found her after she was hit by a car, and thankfully, she ended up at Saving with Soul. She had a couple of surgeries and bounced back, showing she is a resilient pup with an unyielding spirit!

Pups for Paris: Chai, Oliver and Ranger

Chipper is a little over a year old and weighs 30 pounds. She is potty and crate-trained, and is great with other dogs!

Ace is just a little guy! He only weighs 15 pounds and is 3 years old.
