Frito-Lay distribution center coming to Prichard

PRICHARD, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A new development that officials say will help boost the economy is coming to Prichard: a Frito-Lay distribution center.

The Mobile Chamber shared that the project, which broke ground in June 2024, will be located at 3221 Anton St., in Prichard.

LOCATION:

The new center reportedly will serve as the direct-store delivery hub for the greater Mobile area, becoming one of over 200 distribution centers across the United States and Canada.

Mobile County and Prichard officials said the new center for the well-known chip and snack company owned by PepsiCo, Inc. will help boost the economy by providing jobs and opportunities.

“This development underscores the economic vitality of our region and the strategic advantages we offer for logistics and distribution operations,” said Mobile Chamber President and CEO Bradley Byrne. “We are excited about the job opportunities and economic growth this will bring.”
