In 2013, Airbus broke ground for its first manufacturing facility, A320. Then in 2015, the Airbus facility in Mobile has been producing world-class aircraft since.

“The future for us is very, very bright. And when I say us, I mean, there’s so many people that are involved in this,” said Mayor Stimpson.

A new assembly line is currently under construction and expected to be completed in 2025. It will help grow Airbus’s global capacity to manufacture more planes.

There are currently five fully operating paying facilities at Airbus in Mobile.

Daryl Taylor, Senior Vice President of Commerical Aircraft Operations for Airbus, said, “Now with this third final assembly line, the second for the A320 will be doubling our ability to deliver aircraft out of here on the 320 starting in 2025.”
