Mobile man accused of fleeing police, wrecking car: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Mobile man who allegedly wrecked his vehicle during an attempt to avoid a traffic stop was arrested, according to police.

The Mobile Police Department said 20-year-old Ja’Marion Lavell Jordan was arrested after officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Springhill Avenue and Ann Street around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10.

LOCATION:

According to an MPD news release, when officers approached the vehicle, the driver, identified as Jordan took off. Officers said they initially lost sight of the vehicle but later found it wrecked near the intersection of Broad Street and Lyons Street.

Jordan was arrested and charged with felony attempting to elude, according to the Mobile Metro Jail log.
