Loxley woman found guilty of stealing from father with dementia

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Loxley woman accused of stealing from her father in 2022 was found guilty in Baldwin County this week, according to officials.

Barbara Minor, who was originally arrested in September 2022, was convicted of one count of financial exploitation of the elderly in the second degree in Baldwin County Circuit Court Judge Joe Norton’s courtroom.

The conviction comes after investigators claimed that Minor was taking money from her father with dementia . According to court documents, she went to two different stores and maxed out credit cards of more than $24,000.

Minor is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 10.
