5. University of South Alabama Move-In Day

Cars and moving trucks are on the University of South Alabama campus as move-in for the fall semester kicks off.

Move-in began today and continues on Saturday. As freshmen moved in, USA students who have been on campus are lending a helping hand.

School officials said they have a record number of students enrolled as classes begin Tuesday.

4. New Tool for Crossing Guards

School crossing guards in Mobile now have a tool that officials said will help keep everyone safe.

The device, which is white with a button on top, allows crossing guards to change the traffic pattern. According to officials, the new tool will be used at busy intersections near schools like E.R. Dickson, B.C. Rain and Causey Middle.
