16-year-old wanted for allegedly shooting younger brother turns himself in

PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — A 16-year-old turns himself in after being on the run for more than a week. The 16-year-old, who we are not naming since he’s a minor, turned himself into the Mobile County Jail. The sheriff’s office confirms he turned himself in around 7 Monday night.

He was wanted after the shooting death of his 12-year-old brother Cle’Tavion Hill on August 11th . The 16-year-old is expected to be charged with reckless manslaughter. It’s been a difficult time for the family of the two brothers. We last spoke with their mother Sunday at a vigil in Prichard .

“My family won’t ever be the same” Mother, Lashonra Hill said. The tragedy had city officials in Prichard calling for more gun safety and urging gun owners to keep their weapons secure.
