MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile Area Water & Sewer System responded to a pair of sanitary sewer overflows on Tuesday, the Mobile County Health Department reported. One incident happened at 423 Chin Street, where about 4,200 gallons of wastewater overflowed into Three Mile Creek as a result of a broken sewer main line. MAWSS crews unstopped the main line and are taking steps to prevent further overflows at this location, according to the health department.
