‘End it Now’ rally marches through Downtown Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Rally goers took the streets of Downtown Mobile Saturday, bringing awareness to different forms of abuse.

“It’s about encouraging and advocating for the end of human trafficking, the end of domestic violence and all forms of abuse,” organizer, Robert Soto said.

Soto is a local pastor and has been spearheading the Mobile “End it Now” branch for the past six years.

“There was an increase in violence in the area, an increase in human trafficking, so we really needed to do something and to bring awareness to the public,” Soto said. “That’s what we do, we talk about awareness, prevention, love and hope.”

The day of awareness had resources available for those who do need to get help.

A table was also set out for kids to create cards with words of encouragement for those at the Penelope House .

“I would just like for victims of abuse to know that they are groups that can help them to don’t be afraid to come forward if you’re a victim of abuse,” District Attorney Assistant, Richard Foreman said.
