Derrick Dearman, a convicted axe murderer, is set to be the fourth person Alabama puts to death this year. On Monday, Gov. Kay Ivey announced Dearman’s execution is set for sometime between 12 a.m. on October 17 and 6 a.m. on October 18. He will be put to death using lethal injection, after he chose the method over nitrogen hypoxia.
