South Alabama starting quarterback Gio Lopez is officially listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game at Ohio, a team spokesman told AL.com. Lopez, a redshirt freshman, suffered a toe injury during the second half of the Jaguars’ season-opening 52-38 loss last week vs. North Texas, in which he set school records with 432 passing yards and 497 yards of total offense and accounted for four touchdowns. Lopez, who was limited in practice all week, is participating in pre-game warm-ups prior to the Ohio game, but is unlikely to play.
