Man charged with murder after shooting death in Foley

FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — A man is in the Baldwin County Jail charged with murder after a shooting early Sunday morning.

Officials with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at about 12:30 am in a neighborhood off County Road 20 in south Foley. Investigators say 59-year-old Michael David Norton shot a man during an argument. The victim was shot once and died.

The investigation is still in the early stages. We do not know at this time what may have led to the violence or the name of the victim. We’ll continue to update this story as we get more information.
