After Mobile prisoner’s death, charges against fellow inmate upgraded to murder

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – After the death of an inmate Monday, assault charges against a fellow prisoner have been upgraded to murder. Justin Gentry Miles, 44, had been facing an assault charge for an alleged attack on a fellow inmate Harry McClure at Mobile County Metro Jail last month. Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch said McClure was badly injured. He died after being taken off of life support, the sheriff said.
