45 years later, Dauphin Island resident recalls her wedding among the debris after Hurricane Frederic makes landfall

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – With Hurricane Francine fresh on our minds, we can’t forget about the one that slammed the Gulf Coast 45 years ago. Hurricane Frederic made landfall in Mobile County on September 12, 1979. The impact left years of recovery, and it’s still felt to this day.
