This is the 73rd annual Baldwin County Fair here in Robertsdale.

Between the mud and pools of water on the fairgrounds, Fair Director Sonny Hankins said he canceled Tuesday night’s event because he wanted to play it safe.

“We’ve had almost a deluge this afternoon and we’re afraid someone might get hurt and slip and fall trying to get on and off rides,” Hankins said. “We just decided we better for safety purposes, we called it today, but we’ll be back in business tomorrow.”
