MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Prichard man has been sentenced in connection with the 2022 murder of Mfundishi Mingo , according to court documents.

22-year-old Zyione Kendale Fagin was found guilty on Monday, Sept. 16.
Fagin and his attorney entered a negotiated plea agreement with the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.
In the plea deal, Fagin was sentenced to serve 20 years in the Alabama Department of Corrections split to serve five years with the balance suspended for three years of formal probation with State probation with credit for time served.

Fagin was ordered to have no contact with Mingo’s family. The court also ordered Fagin to pay $50 in the Victims Compensation Act and court costs.
Restitution will be determined within 60 days.
