MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Models are advertising the development of a Central American Gyre by this weekend. This is a broad area of low pressure over Central America that can spawn tropical systems. By mid- to late next week, it’s possible a system could be trying to develop in the northern Caribbean or southern Gulf.
