Silver Ships , which was founded in 1985, has a new facility for manufacturing all-welded custom aluminum boats for applications like the US Navy, the US Coast Guard, and the US Army Core of Engineers.
The new facility, which opened in February, is about two miles east of their main location. It is 15,500 square feet and houses about $600,000 of equipment that helps the company build boats.
“Adding a second manufacturing location is a natural progression of our team’s work to support the growing workboat segment,” said Steven Clarke, Silver Ships CEO. “Our team works tirelessly to provide customers with the highest-quality, customized, mission-ready aluminum vessels in the industry.
“Facility expansion to meet the demands of the market is necessary to achieve the quality and deliver timelines of our customers.”
