SARALAND, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A TikTok video with almost 2 million views of a homecoming proposal at Saraland High School is taking the internet by storm.

18-year-old Connor has been friends with Savannah for quite some time now. He knew she would make the perfect homecoming date.
Connor went to Tara Hyatt, a teacher who’s been working with special education students for 24 years now, to help him with his execution.
“He wanted to invite Savannah before another invited Savannah,” Hyatt said. “But the poster was about Sour Patch Kids ’cause that’s her nickname. We put that on the poster we let him surprise her while she was eating lunch.”

Even though Savannah has many suitors, she said yes to her longtime friend Connor. Now the two are super excited about the dance.
Mrs. Hyatt has also helped her students with two other proposals for Homecoming 2024. She told News 5 there is another one coming on Monday.
