MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials with Coast Guard Sector Mobile are asking for help after an unmanned kayak was found in the water north of Dauphin Island.
According to a Facebook post made just before 8 Saturday morning , Coast Guard Sector Mobile received the report of an unmanned kayak found floating in the Mississippi sound north of Dauphin Island.
The Coast Guard said they’re continuing to search the area for signs of anyone who might be in trouble on the water. Anyone with information on the kayak is asked to contact Sector Mobile at (833) MOB-USCG. It’s not clear who owns the kayak or where it came from. At this time, News 5 is not aware of any missing boaters in the area.
