Federal judge in Mobile sentence Texas woman in meth trafficking conspiracy

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal judge in Mobile sentenced a Texas woman to five years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine, federal prosecutors announced this week. According to court documents, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Operations Unit Task Force officer stopped Zolia Rosa Zuniga on Interstate 10 for following too closely behind another vehicle. The officer’s K-9 named Darlin’ alerted him to narcotics and a search of the vehicle turned up about 32 pounds of meth hidden behind the vehicle’s speakers, court records revealed.
